Surgery Preparation

Once you have scheduled a surgical procedure, you will need to complete a few items before surgery.

Dr. Steinbacher's Surgery Preparation
  • First, we will have you register online or via our intake portal in person. We will review your health history intake questionnaire to ensure that the day of surgery is as smooth as possible.
  • There are certain medications to avoid prior to surgery that we will address with you in advance.
  • On the night before surgery, there is a specific time that you will need to stop eating and drinking, and we will also review any home medications that need to be taken on the morning of the surgery.
  • We will discuss the arrival time for your procedure, and the presence of an escort and ride back will also be addressed.

We understand that preparing for surgery can cause anxiety, and our team will help ease you through it and ensure clarity and comfort. Please reach out to us if you have any questions or need clarification during the preparation so we can provide any information and answer all questions. We want to fully engage with you through this process and will provide the knowledge and complete understanding of the logistics and sequence prior to your procedure appointment.
